Introducing Mary C.
Share a brief overview of your professional background.
In a prior life, I interned for two US Embassies and then worked in DC in the national security and international development realms. I also worked on and off in kitchens for 18 years. I have now been in the finance and insurance industry for 4+ years and couldn't love it more!
Share a bit about your personal interests or hobbies.
I still love to cook and bake. I also really enjoy going on walks and hikes in the non-winter months, and adore reading a good book with my cat, Anya.
Recommend a local restaurant/shop/business that you love.
I love the Boardroom in Winooski. It's a very chill place with great food and more games than one person could ever play.
Tell us what you like most about living in the greater Burlington area.
Sunsets on Lake Champlain with the mountains in the distance. Luckily, I can see it from my gym every night and it's just one of the most beautiful scenes.
Share what motivated you to join the BYP Advisory Board.
I really like staying active in the community. I serve on a few boards and volunteer at a number of places, but BYP is an amazing resource for bringing together a group of younger individuals who are all going through the same transitions in life.
