Share a bit about your personal interests or hobbies.
I love learning new skills and hobbies. This fall, I’m finding myself enjoying figure drawing socials, block printing, learning to swing dance, biking with friends, running longer distances, hiking on new trails, and growing root vegetables!
Recommend a local restaurant/shop/business that you love.
I have an obsession with Eco Bean & Greens on Dorset Street (recommend the aronia berry immunity smoothie and a peanut butter macaroon). I love to work remotely from Specs Cafe (their iced lattes are unlike any I've had) in Winooski and enjoy a negroni there on Friday evenings. Winooski Wheels is a favorite for any bike repair or accessory needs. I recently bought a shirt wrap from Abby Huston Designs, located in the Soda Plant in Burlington, that I constantly get compliments on!
Tell us what you like most about living in the greater Burlington area.
I love that I get to work in a global industry while living and playing in the beautiful state of Vermont. Vermont is the perfect home base where I can be active in nature, have a supportive and loving community, and a slower pace of life. When I want more urban adventures I can hop on a plane or head to Montreal! I particularly love the greater Burlington area because I love being able to walk or bike to most destinations and access Lake Champlain for water adventures.
Share what motivated you to join the BYP Advisory Board.
The reason I joined the BYP Advisory Board was really two part — one, I wanted to raise awareness about the captive insurance industry as a potential career path for professionals in the region. Two, I wanted to expand my personal and professional community!
